Our Nixon Congratulations to filmmakers Penny Lane and Brian Frye, whose new film, Our Nixon, had its US premiere at SXSW in Austin, Texas in March, 2013. It won the Grand Prize at the Ann Arbor Film Festival, and was the closing-night selection for the New York Film Festival's New Films/New Directors festival.

Most of the film consists of Super-8 home movies shot by Nixon staffers H.R. Haldeman, Dwight Chapin, and Bob Erlichman. The original Super-8 footage couldn't leave the Nixon Presidential Library, so instead a Kinetta Archival Scanner went there to scan 22 hours of film at 3296 x 2472 resolution -- over five times the resolution of HD. Variety said "Lane and Co. have done an additional service by making 4k digital transfers of the complete Super 8 archive in the Nixon Library, resulting in exceptional images that nonetheless maintain the feel of the original material."
